No Documentation for Life Events Outside of Open Enrollment
To enroll in California outside of Open Enrollment (November 1 – January 31), all insurance carriers and Covered California require that you have a special enrollment reason that qualifies you to apply during the off season. Covered California and most carriers require additional documentation to prove that you have a legitimate life event to enroll.
Western Health Advantage is on the honor system. When you apply outside of Covered California through WHA no documentation of your qualifying event is requested. This means less hassle and the quicker you can be on your way.
